Wings of Worship Aviation – Empowering the Future of Aviation

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Wings of Worship Aviation. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to introducing young minds to the world of aviation and inspiring the next generation of pilots, mechanics, and aviation enthusiasts. Your commitment and passion can make a real difference in the lives of these aspiring young aviators.

Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of two hour shifts per month. Volunteers are requested to be available on Saturday and Sunday’s. For more information, please contact Nas Erakat.

Pilot’s

  • Age 18 or older
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Enjoys customer service
  • Communicates well with all types of people
  • Passion for aviation
  • Knowledgeable about the Sacramento region, including tourist attractions and special events
  • Skilled in basic computer and internet use, and has an active e-mail address (required)
  • Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic
  • Likes working with other volunteers

Mechanics

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on aircraft
  • Repair and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and safety standards

General Staff

  1. Greeting and Welcome:
    • Warmly greet children and their families as they arrive at the facility.
    • Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  2. Registration and Check-In:
    • Assist with the registration process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
    • Provide information about the day’s activities, schedules, and safety guidelines.
  3. Supervision and Safety:
    • Ensure the safety of all children by monitoring their movements and activities.
    • Enforce safety rules and guidelines, especially around aircraft and aviation equipment.
  4. Guided Tours:
    • Conduct guided tours of the aviation facilities, explaining the different parts of an aircraft and how they work.
    • Share interesting facts about aviation and aircraft.
  5. Educational Activities:
    • Organize and participate in educational activities related to aviation, such as aviation-themed games, puzzles, or demonstrations.
  6. Arts and Crafts:
    • Plan and lead arts and crafts sessions with aviation-related themes.
    • Provide materials and assistance as needed.
  7. Snack and Meal Assistance:
    • Help distribute snacks or meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and allergies are considered.
    • Assist with setting up and cleaning up eating areas.
  8. Bathroom and Hygiene:
    • Monitor and assist younger children with restroom visits.
    • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in restroom facilities.
  9. First Aid:
    • Be trained in basic first aid and be prepared to administer it if necessary.
    • Have a first aid kit readily available.
  10. Emotional Support:
    • Be attentive to the emotional needs of children, providing comfort and reassurance if they feel anxious or overwhelmed.
  11. Communication:
    • Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding their children’s activities and well-being.
    • Address any concerns or questions from parents.
  12. Organizational Assistance:
    • Assist in organizing and coordinating events, activities, and group movements.
    • Keep track of attendance and ensure all children are accounted for.
  13. Clean-Up:
    • Help with post-event clean-up, ensuring that the facility is left in good condition.
    • Store equipment and materials properly.
  14. Flexibility:
    • Be adaptable to changing circumstances and willing to assist with unexpected needs or emergencies.
  15. Positive Role Model:
    • Serve as a positive role model for the children, demonstrating kindness, respect, and enthusiasm for aviation and learning.
